Santa Cruz hasn't fought anything even close to a live opponent in years. He's straight up ducked Rigo, Russell Jr, and a Frampton rematch. Instead he's fought a very limited list of no hopers.

I get a good chuckle when posters here swear that a Leo/Tank ppv is in the works. For starters, Tank can't make 130 anymore so that puts the fight at 135. Harmon has protected Santa Cruz for years. What makes anyone thing he will suddenly be willing to feed Leo to Davis especially at 135? This fight just plain isn't big enough to be a ppv main event. If miraculously this fight gets made, Tank will butcher Santa Cruz. Leo has ZERO advantages here. Tank is faster, bigger, younger, more coordinated, has less wear and tear on his body. Not to mention Davis is more powerful with any punch you name.

I enjoy his fights quite a bit but hard to get excited about most of his bouts. Shame that he never gave that third fight for Frampton in Ireland like they were discussing iirc. I might remember completely wrong though

But yeah, the level of the opposition is disappointing. He's pretty much like Gary Russell Jr in that regard. I like the style of them but I am tired of waiting for the better bouts that could be made
