Lara and Charlo’s weren’t going to fight each other because of old Shields affiliation. This was always the known and initial case. However, to Lara’s defense since he knows he’s aging, he was willing to fight them. Kind of like what would’ve happened with Jacobs/Rozier/Devry fallouts. As they all age, it’s best to just get stuff done...

Lara was always game to fight anyone. Them Cubans already had it hard as it is growing up and enjoying the good life in Florida that in the end the fight would just be business and nothing personal. Haymon and the Charlo’s were just shook to lose and the other because there’s historical circumstance with boxing where Cubans aren’t really acknowledged to begin with.

And Lara edged it with Hurd imo. The knockdown changed the landscape of the fight.
