Rematching biggest names is another thing. You don't want uncertainty with biggest names as those same names is what's going to bring credibility to your legacy.
Well done Floyd beating Pac and nel o with iv, and shoulder, cw, green controversies, Fotd is easier on floyd. But history won't be as kind to floyd, it will use context whilst bwaaa didnt

average guys like.... Singsurat, Torrecampo... and, Horn... ?

Daniel The *** Mendoza, 1780s, the HW title is vacant.

Danny, is a ***, duh. He lives at the tail end of the Inquisition, not exactly friendly times for ***s in europe.

Upon the HW champion's retirement Mendoza makes a bid for the title. He introduced taking editorials out in newspapers to advertise himself.

He then introduced the art of talking **** not just to your would-be opponent but to his fans as well.

Then he invented ticketing for sporting events.

He got his audience all hateful, got his adversary ready to make an example of him, and then when it came time to fight rather than standing and trading Daniel The *** Mendoza had the utter gull to avoid punches and counter during the opening.

The audience only got more hateful because of this.

To the Anglo-Christian mind of the day Mendoza was arrogant, greedy, cowardly, and deceptive. You know, the classic stereotypical hated traits folks claimed, and continue to claim sometimes, are more prevalent in the ***ish faith than the Christian religion.

Rinse and repeat, even more arrogant, even more greedy, even more cowardly, and even more deceptive.

Mendoza was made very rich in a very short period of time and got so far up the social ladder he was able to threaten King George. He didn't know it was the King but still threatened to punch the king from his horse all the same.

Eventually Mendoza would be dealt with by conspiracy not actual skills, but his mark was left and ever since then the brash, slick, well paid, super popular, **** talking winner has been a staple in boxing.

There is no period when the bare knuckle ways started to lose to boxing techniques. The boxers, promoters, and such themselves made more money, took less damage, and fought more often and so through economy alone the old way drifted as Mendoza School boxing became the staple form of boxing.

Mendoza, kiddies, is also why you call it sweet science. Mendoza referred to his new skill set as scientific boxing.

In base terms, boxing was sword and shield fighting until Danny M brought the rapier and dagger.

Honestly if you actually believe Ward got hated on because of his race and not his boring as ***** ugly style than you’re probably the real racist.
