Why do fighters that get hated like Mayweather, Canelo, and Ward end up winning their biggest fights, while beloved fighters like Gennady Golovkin and Manny Pacquiao end up losing to the previous fighters?

Because hated fighters don't do what the haters want them to do. Nel o didn't listen to people saying he'd waiting for gg G to get old. Floyd didn't fight Ggg and win titles in 8 divisions like people wanted him to, didn't rematch nel o in Prime or rematch pac. Rematching average guys like maidana and Castillo is one thing. Rematching biggest names is another thing. You don't want uncertainty with biggest names as those same names is what's going to bring credibility to your legacy.
