Why don't these two guys fight each other. This could be a pretty big fight in my oppinion with Cotto having the big power advantage. I see the fight going to Cotto by knockout especially the way Hatton comes in. Cotto's uppercuts and hooks will give Hatton lots of trouble. Cotto has a suspect chin as well, but has shown the ability to come back when hurt example Torres fight. Torres was one tough SOB and he caught Cotto with some huge shots. At the end I only see this fight going up to the 9th round with Cotto knocking out Hatton. What guys think?
Cotto Vs Hatton?

First, I've never seen Cotto throw a good uppercut and secondly I think he would have a good chance at stopping Hatton because he is very patient and economical at 140 now that he is slowing down. But, Hatton may be too energetic and herky jerky for him at 140 but Cotto would probably drop him a couple times with a pivot left hook.
It's too tough to call, IMO. Pick'em. I can't choose. -
Actually, **** it. Scratch that ****.
Hatton would crowd him and outwork him and wouldn't allow Cotto to get the space and leverage on his punches. Cotto would be trying to land that one big shot and Hatton would outwork him in the process and win a close points decision.Comment

I think that it's not gonna happen soon. Cotto is moving up to 147 and Hatton is moving down to 140.Originally posted by NoFear24Why don't these two guys fight each other. But if ever, they fight at 140 Hatton will have the advantage. At 147 I'm giving the advantage to Cotto.Comment

No Im basing this on the fact that no matter who Cotto has been there with, he always seem to do good on the inside and the outside whether hes smothered or not. Like in the Torres fight he was in the inside and outside while doing good sometimes and bad at other times. And no Im not basing this on the Collazo fight Im basing it on how Ricky Hatton fights period. His style is to try and overwhelm you with lots of ruff tactics and throw punches while holding on to one hand and throwing with the other. Hatton has been knock down by some weaker punches. I forgot the dudes name, but it was some white dude who threw a hook while Hatton was throwing a hook and it caught Hatton, but there was no real power into it and it still knocked him down. I think during the course of the fight between Hatton and Cotto they will trade hooks and Cotto's hook is way more devastating when it lands. And with Hattons style Cotto will land alot, but so will Hatton which is why I still think Cotto will over power Hatton and eventually knock him out.Originally posted by El Temible1. question
are you basing this on the collazo fightComment

Exactly. This fight is all about weight. At 140 I see Hatton as the effective aggressor. At 147 I think Cotto's power carries better and he won't be so weight drained so I give him the nod at 147.Originally posted by psychopathI think that it's not gonna happen soon. There's a possibility his chin won't hold up.Comment
