... Yes... But I don't really believe Bud goes that way...

Great win for Rosario! A fight between him and Hurd would be wild.

Colbert impressed me too he's no longer a prospect.

Not only do I agree, the statement still makes sense.

Huge upsets dont happen in divisions with class players.

The top guys mostly lose to other top guys or horrible matchups, the guys below generally get laid waste to and become gatekeepers to them. Cream rises, at 154 everyone loses to one another. No cream.

Upsets are fun and all, but inversely indicative of quality.
Flashes in the pan get upset.

The irony is that you limit yourself to what you watch, talk about, push based on aesthetics.

Im the one that actually watches everything. If you actually did the same, you would see what average joes inhabit 154, which Im sure you do but have your reasons for pretending otherwise.
I have to agree, the talent at 154 isn’t special. They are all pretty equally average. But it does make for good fights as everyone is on the same tier.

I do watch everything. What makes you think I don’t? Huge upsets happen all the time. We just had Ruiz over AJ.

I don’t think it’s a case of no cream. I think it’s a case if there may not be one guy that is an A+, like a Floyd, but there are many guys that are B+/B level guys that has flaws that the opponent can exploit.

I have never claimed 154 is full of top p4p guys. I would like to know which poster gave this opinion.

I do think 154 has quality fighters. I think Hurd, jrock, charlo and Harrison are all B+ level guys that make for solid fights.

I don’t think upsets or tough fights indicate a lack of quality. I think it shows there is more parity.

I also think it’s better we have them fighting each other than say the situation at mw where guys can’t get a chance against the A+ Level guy.

I hope not. I want to see Castano. People forget he beat Spence and Dervy! If Crawford fights Texiera (really not a bad idea if no Porter) then I want Charlo vs. Castano next! Nice fight for Texas!

... I don't really think so: I only guess that PBC acts "more freely" with this weight class... 147 is only much more "controlled" (because of the potential money involved there)...

Lot's of B+ fighters (Wait until you see Madrimov), but no Lomachenkos. I still think it's better than 160, 168, 175 and HW. I think 130-135 is probably the most talented! 140-147 only getting better too!

I see: "I hope Castano vs. Texiera happens!", you said...

... but I guess Castano is far too small vs Charlo, at this stage...

I'm with you on this. All of the top 154lbers are fighting each other and because there is no fighter well above the rest in terms of quality we are getting all of this chaos with the results.

It gets really stale seeing people using whatever is going on to take a shot at a one promotion or hype another. People on here root for a promotion or a network more than a fighter, WTF is that?!?

I don't care if a fighter is PBC, Hearn, Golden Boy or whatever. Right now 154 is a fun weight class to watch because the top guys there are fighting and losing to each other. At some point someone will join the division, dominate and the chaos will come to an end...in the meantime I will enjoy the fights.

I took over a decade long break from boxing forums in general and I returned to find this. It’s like everyone lost their damn mind. Still trying to understand it but I can’t.
