Me personally, no. I don't feel that Floyd would have beaten Manny from 2010/1/12. As for Canelo, I think his best weight is 160/8, so he would never be at his best against Floyd at his best. Floyd caught him at a disadvantage, like many of his opponents, which is why I mark him down in terms of all time greatness and accolades like FOTD.

Thing with Ward, I originally said that he couldnt be FOTD to me because he retired in 2017

but then everyone started giving the title to Floyd, so I'm fine with Ward getting it lol,

          Fair enough.

Its just a shame we didnt get to see the first proposed fight in 2010 between Floyd and Manny.I remember at the time I was so down when it didn't come to fruition.

That's an interesting pick. I appreciate the article, and the argument he makes for Ward. If one thing seems certain, maybe it is that the 2010s didn't have one clear-cut fighter of the decade. More like there are 4 or 5 who everyone agrees should be in the running, but not one that can clearly tip the scales with anything like unanimity. The 2010s are a split decision.

Real wins over Kovalev might have done it for me but...

Sure, you can throw him in there, but I don't think he should win it.

The article was ridiculous. You could tell SI and Mannix were just trying to be different. Their arguments for Ward were nonsensical.

That's a good question. I could be wrong, but, I think when a top guy is involved in a controversy, you get situations like ref Tony Weeks refusing to look at the replay of Ward fouling Kovalev that ended the 2nd fight, or the NSAC refusing to investigate Floyd's illegal IV. It seems that the powers that be in boxing just want to move on as quickly as possible.
