Comments Thread For: Munguia's Co-Promoter Views Golovkin as The Ideal Opponent

Jaime Destructor Mungua appeared before the media and sponsors in Tijuana, at the head of a press conference earlier today. He said he felt very good physically and from a boxing standpoint in the middleweight division, and he expressed his delight over what he accomplished in the ring against Gary "Spike" O'Sullivan last Saturday, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

I love this fight. Automatic War. Let them fight and the winner fight Canelo.

I can honestly admit that Munguia proved me wrong in that fight. I thought, if he could win it would've been close. He looked strong but I'd like to see one more b4 the top dogs at 160. He looked bad to me the last few fights but was too strong for O'Sullivan

That would be a great action fight but Mungia should slow down and fight a tune up like one of the Charlo brothers.

Well Mr. Beltrán, I'm pretty sure the other half of the co-promotion represented by two HOF in De La Hoya and Hopkins have seen enough last saturday to conclude that the kid is not yet ready for a 37 years old GGG. THERE ARE LEVELS to this boxing thing!

Lmao even that this point in golovkins career he batters munguia. But glad they admitted GGG isn't the same fighter he was 4 years ago

Munguia seems hell bent on committing career suicide but 1 thing for sure based on GGG's last performance I'd say he's got a better shot at pulling an upset now If he could stay on his feet for 12 rounds and win at least 4-5 rds clearly they would probably give him the nod..
