Great. And I love seeing you having a balanced response. Davis is a ducker, plain and simple. But I love this Haney kid. And he's a threat, whether they'd like to admit it or not.Comment

Chronological age and boxing age are not synonymous and on top of that, every fighter has different genetics, ages differently, etc., and when they started fighting, in AM's, Pro's and length of the career also plays into it.Comment

Loma is past his prime already. If you all would just watch objectively, you would see this. I think it is within the realm of possibility that Lopez beats him(I still favor Loma in the fight). But, being past prime does not mean that Loma is not p4p. Floyd was past his prime since the Cotto fight for sure, but that did not stop him from beating everyone else easily(Maidana 1 was close and not an easy fight for him) .Comment

Marquez had his highest profile wins after Pac II, culminating in his welterweight KO over Pac at age 39. The problem for Loma is I don't think his style or physical attributes will age as well as JMM or Pac's (or carry up much beyond lw for that matter). He relies heavily on his speed and doesn't have the power of those guys (nor does he seem to have the same punch resistance). He's going to increasingly become vulnerable once he loses that edge. I thought Mikey had a good chance of beating him and possibly even scoring the KO. If Teo is the real deal, he should have an excellent chance too (although I have reservations about Teo because of his inexperience/he hasn't been fully tested).Comment

Young Canelo weighed a muscular 173 lbs. vs a nearing the end 152 lbs. (max inflated) Floyd, and got schooled. Prime Canelo is fighting at about 180 lbs.
Young Canelo was already way over Floyd's max fighting weight when they fought. Young Floyd was a Lightweight. You want him to fight a 180 lb. Canelo?
LoLoL, y'all will make Floyd fight Lennox Lewis prime, trying to get him a loss. Hilarious ... and pathetic.Comment

That’s exactly the right way to describe StankI appreciate your thoughtful response. The age argument doesn’t work for me regarding Tank. He is a champion in two weight classes now, he had 225 amateur fights, and he is now 25 years old. Now is the time to make this fight. Tank is in his prime years now, no more excuses. Younger fighters than him have taken on bigger challenges and succeeded.
If he doesn't fight Loma this year or next he loses any degree of credibility he may have as far as I’m concerned.
He’s litera stealing Floyd’s playbook
And this is exactly how I feel even though I think Haney is still a little green compared to Loma
But at least he is showing signs of a true fighter willing to test himselfComment
