Yet Boots is 25-0 w/ 23 KOs, and they're not impressed! Loma vs. Lopez is the same as Crawford vs. Ennis! The difference is Cameron Dunkin doesn't have the clout that Bob Arum has! I would pay $100 for a PPV with both fights on the card!
Bronx if this is true i likeeee ! Let Boots get his shot. Teo is a dangerous fight for Loma. Yet i see Loma winning.

The Loma-Lopez fight is still being TALKED about and the exact platform isn't 100% ironed out

      - it's not exactly set in stone that it'll be PPV.

Which I think would be a horrible move - $70 for those 2 in a main event is not worth it. The fight would work much better on regular ESPN - I've been very critical of ESPN's match making on cards, so Loma-Lopez I think would be a nice addition to the regular ESPN

especially given neither is a household name Loma-Lopez would make for an underwhelming PPV

**If you want to quote me on WHY I like the fight, it's because it could give Loma an actual test - because even as a 3 weight champ - his resume is certainly lacking

Lost to Salido - granted it was a split decision, but losing is losing

Rigo - good win on paper, but bringing Rigo up 2 divisions, was NOT a fan of. And some claim the size "didn't matter"

Rigo is small at 122, so yeah coming up to 130lbs .. SMH

Nick Waiters - was a pretty solid win for Loma, dominated him and gave him his first loss

but funny you're so critical about Loma's match making

      - who exactly has Davis fought all that great? He's become quite the can crusher himself.

Look how long it took him to KO Gamboa- who ruptured his Achilles
      Good post.

Fight should be at the Garden.

I'm not hatin' on Boots! If he wants to do it, so be it. I wouldn't recommend it though! He needs a good test. I think Josesito would be perfect!

Josesito would be a good test. Boots is good and would probably be the best guy Crawford has faced since his move to 147. Have you heard anything about Crawford facing Julian Williams? I thought that was a possibility.?

Such an open stance against Lomachenko? Good luck, Lopez

If Loma wants to fight in the Ukraine, then he has earned that right.

Not only is he the a-side, but the fact is he might want to put on a show for the people in his home country. He has fought in everyone else's backyard, fought away from his home consistently.

If he wants to have one at home, then that is more than fair.

Why would people expect or demand that a champion of his class never get the chance to fight at home?

I can see that. Nobody like fake "fans"

Just me - but I'm not one for the fans who try and re-write history by acting like a close loss didn't count

That said if you think about it and try hard enough ANYBODY's resume in boxing can be discredited and or marginalized

So I just find it a little hypocritical to go ALL in on Loma about his resume nobodies - when literally the same thing could be said about Tank Davis, or Deontay Wilder or etc
