Best bet for Loma-Teo is to be on regular ESPN.

    ESPN+ I could see working too - at $4.99 a month, that's a bargin

if it's a traditional $70 PPV - I agree 100% it'll fail miserably. Loma & Teo are fun to watch, but they don't have enough casual appeal from fans to where a $70 PPV would make sense

Not even for me, as a hardcore, is this a must watch TV, let alone pay for it. They are a couple of good fighters but nothing huge to anticipate and put on the calendar.

I don't care much for either guy. One is extremely broring; the other, I'll wait until he accomplishes something.

      You consider Loma boring? LOL

And Teo's a bit overhyped ... but at least he brings intrigue into his fights *wouldn't mind if he got humbled

I dunno, I don't think you speak for everyone. I like the match up on paper, plus three title belts are up for grabs

So you gonna pay for the PPV price? Of course, I only speak for myself. Belts are garbage and beyond meaningless.

Loma isn't humbling anyone unless they are cans.

I don't care about any amateur stuff (didn't help at all against Salido) but, in the pros, he's done nothing. I consider Loma very boring beating on no-hopers. I'll wait to compliment him when and IF he beats Davis.

Which elite (even very good) fighter has he beaten? I can wait all day for this answer but you wouldn't find a single one.

I consider Russell his best win and Russell isn't even a B- at this point. I consider Linares a complete bum. Go research his past KOs by a few cans. Then, recently, another semi-decent bum in Cano made quick work of him (Loma couldn't, and was himself put on his ass).

Same goes for Commey. This is an era full of average and below average boxers (Commey is one perfect example.). I said, "Commey is a can," before the Lopez fight. Check my post history.

Again, what's his best win? Lopez would be his best win, if he can beat him. Think about that.

        I'll go with Lopez.

after commey/teo they started repping teo hard to spite tank....then you saw them, when people started saying teo might knock loma out, talking like commey wasnt really nothing to be excited about a win over....

they legit went from telling teo to slow down and shut his mouth...to repping him to spite tank...to telling people that think he can beat loma that commey wasnt really nothing

its comical watching these sad people....teo is dope...fun to watch....i totally respect him and what he wants to do...but im not going to trash every fighter who doesnt do what he does....because what hes trying to do is not the norm
Facts! Floyd didn't do it either! Some people just hate! Damn if you do, damn if you don't!

              Christ, somebody is salty much.

Did I strike a nerve? Chill out

The Loma-Lopez fight is still being TALKED about and the exact platform isn't 100% ironed out

              - it's not exactly set in stone that it'll be PPV.

Which I think would be a horrible move - $70 for those 2 in a main event is not worth it. The fight would work much better on regular ESPN - I've been very critical of ESPN's match making on cards, so Loma-Lopez I think would be a nice addition to the regular ESPN

especially given neither is a household name Loma-Lopez would make for an underwhelming PPV

**If you want to quote me on WHY I like the fight, it's because it could give Loma an actual test - because even as a 3 weight champ - his resume is certainly lacking

Lost to Salido - granted it was a split decision, but losing is losing

Rigo - good win on paper, but bringing Rigo up 2 divisions, was NOT a fan of. And some claim the size "didn't matter"

Rigo is small at 122, so yeah coming up to 130lbs .. SMH

Nick Waiters - was a pretty solid win for Loma, dominated him and gave him his first loss

but funny you're so critical about Loma's match making

              - who exactly has Davis fought all that great? He's become quite the can crusher himself.

Look how long it took him to KO Gamboa- who ruptured his Achilles

Fast? He aint that fast, his trick is stepping around fighters with his southpaw stance. l0m0 can be hit with a jab, straight right hand & body shots. He's open for shots that's why his team wants him to move back down so he can hold the punches better.
