Depends on your definition of elite. To some here no one is elite lol.

Personally I consider anyone in the top 1% of the division elite which at HW is probably 15 to 20 guys. At worst I consider the top ten elite in most divisions besides the lil guy divisions where there is sometimes less depth cuz there isn't enough distance between weights.

Idk sh^t about sports where you play with balls these days but I'd assume any starting QB would qualify as elite enough to me if I were to judge them similarly to how I judge 1% of boxers elite. So I guess there are 28+, lol I legit have no clue how many NFL teams there are, elite QBs.

So bring that there are more starting QBs than top 1% HW boxers I guess that'd make it rarer to be a elite boxer.

That said I think the process to being an elite QB is likely harder cuz you usually gotta be the top guy in your city than the top guy at your college than good enough to get drafted & finally good enough to get the starting gig.

In boxing you can be an Olympic Gold medal winner like Ali or Foreman or others, but you can also be a guy with 10 fights or less as an amateur & just get moved cleverly by a promoter into the top 1% of the division. So its much harder to get to elite status in the NFL.

Being a 3 division women’s champ is definitely the most difficult.

Elite at anything is pretty damn hard. But I think I would go with NFL QB on this one. There’s a lot more competition to make it that high in pro football. Boxing isn’t nearly as popular as it used to be in the United States. Back in the fifties, you really had to cut through a lot of opposition to make it to the very pinnacle. Football is tremendously popular now. A lot more people to get past.

Boxer - and it's not even close.

If a boxer gets KTFO his career can literally change w/ thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of lost income.

Football QBs have "bad games" all the time but their pay is unchanged.

For every boxer we like there are guys like Mike Jones - who were right at the cusp of making it BIG, but never happened. Damn shame.

QBs at least get laid whenever they want all through college - and starting in a few years - college QBs will get PAID.

            Amateur fighters DONT get paid.

Oh and by the way...boxing is FAR more deadly.

The casuals in this thread have me CTFU

Thanks. It’s a tough call, but that’s how I see it.

                Boxer.

There are 32 starting QBs in the NFL. How many are elite?

Now think of all the weight classes in boxing. Think of how many are elite in a given weight class ... there is your answer.

Not to mention QBs can be carried by linemen, backs, receivers, and tight ends.

Boxers have to carry 100% of themselves every second of every fight

I think both are physically gruelling , but it may take a bit more mentally to get punched in the mouth for a living . But when it comes to how hard it is to make it to the top ?? I have to go with football as the tougher mountain top to climb......EVERYONE and their cat play football especially in the US . There is far more competition to get thru . So depending on the context of this question my answer may vary but from what I got from this post u meant how hard it is to become elite . So I'll go with NFL quarterback .
