Tom Brown of TGB Promotions, is part of the promotional team for WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who makes a defense of his title against Tyson Fury on February 22nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Yeah there’s a reason, he spent 2 years on the sofa wrecking himself and 7 months after returning to the ring he fought the supposed baddest man on the planet, and let’s be honest, he gave him a boxing lesson.

So, being smart, Fury says ‘you know what, if I get in the gym for a year and fight him again, it won’t even be close’ ...and that’s where we are... Fury will be fitter and sharper this time around and will have had a good look at the tapes for a few of Wilders bad habits that he’ll expose this time. I have no doubt he is gonna have a game plan to keep Wilder off balance for 12 rounds.

Arum alleged that Haymon will discourage Spence from a business deal with an outside, white promoter.

“[Haymon’s] going to say, ‘Spence, listen to me. Don’t listen to the white guys. Because if you listen to the white guys, they’re going to steer you down the road … listen to me, brother, we’re part of a brotherhood. And if I’m telling you not to fight Crawford, I’m telling you not to fight Crawford,’” Arum said.

That point dissolves when it’s considered Arum has stopped fights by considering long-term boxing business, too. Earlier this year, when it appeared Haymon’s heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder had a deal in place for a rematch with England’s Tyson Fury following their epic Dec. 1 draw at Staples Center, Arum struck a co-promotion deal with Fury and now says the Brit will likely take two more fights to further build his brand in the U.S. before reuniting with Wilder."

Tyson Fury made the right choice in not having a immediate rematch, but since then? His opponents have not really been adequate preparation as they have been levels below elite level.

There are several reason's why Fury pulled out of an immediate rematch.

1. The draw voided the rematch clause and he got a huge offer to sign with Arum.

2. He realised he needed more time to get over the damage he did too his body during his lay-off and massive weight loss.

3. He didn't want to risk getting robbed again on another PBC show.
