I don't think there's too much to discuss, is there? When it comes to the basics, I think most people agree -- Crawford is a talented fighter who should be fighting better opponents. I suppose the question is about who is to blame for his weak opponents: him, his promoter, or a combination of both?

I think there is little question that Arum is a hinderance rather than a help to Crawford, but I also think that Crawford is starting to get a little pissed off with how things stand. Regardless, it doesn't reflect well on either of them when you look at who he has fought at WW. A pathetic line-up given his P4P reputation.

some of these guys like to talk a big game knowing...but know they are relatively safe behind a wall...thats what crawford is doing....when he was going off saying hell fight anyone and bob was talking about porter they were doing it from a stance of "those guys wont even talk to us it will never happen they barely acknowledge us so we can say whatever"....then porters pops said to call them and that they can make a fight and they reversed their stance on porter just like that in the snap of a finger....

I like Crawford but ever since he re-upped with Top Rank, it's clear he's satisfied with the money he's earning for the level of opponents he's had to fight. His WW resume is luke warm at best and now that he has an opportunity to fight a real PBC dog (Porter), he's changed his tune. Weak sauce.

I've always maintained that it should be illegal for promoters or broadcasters to enter into contracts with individual fighters. Promoters should only engage with a boxing union that OFFERS internal rank-based fights on which promoters can bid. Then, only BIG fights e.g Leonard vs Hearns will be PPV-worthy and there won't be any of this fight-a-tomato-can-for-a-million-dollars. i.e. you want a big pay day, get yerself in a big fight, not a show case sparring match. If constrained to specific events, promoters won't pay big for crap fights. e.g. Davis vs Gamboa.

Crawford's resume at WW thus far don't look to good. Team Crawford should concider negotiating the Porter fight. I don't want to see Crawford/Spence fight after the car accident Spence was in. He need a tune-up. I think Crawford wants to fight Danny Garcia.

The only fights that interest me at WW is between Crawford Manny and Porter, Spence is a ? and Garcia is sliding down, let them prove themselves first, I dont like asterisks attached to fighters .
