crawford never said spence or pac specifically..never said he needed a belt

some of you are so sad that youve gone on to believe he said that..like you desperately want to believe it and want it to be true..its kind of pathetic and sad to be honest

heres what bud said after his last fight

Crawford said he’s ready for whichever fighter is next.

“I’ll fight anybody. I’ve been saying that for I don’t know how long,” Crawford said.

all of the sudden though he "meant pac or spence"....

heres what arum said after the fight

He’s still searching for better opposition in the deep 147-pound division and promoter Bob Arum indicated Crawford may look next to veteran Shawn Porter, who is coming off a competitive loss to Errol Spence Jr. in a unification bout in September.

A Crawford-Spence bout would likely be the most attractive possible, but Spence was injured in a car accident and it’s unknown when he can fight again. That could leave Porter as the next choice.

“Porter is the next best guy,” Arum said. “He proved himself with Spence.”

so we have bud and bob talking a big game....only a few days later we get this....

“That’s not a fight that I’m focused on right now or even worried about,” said Crawford to DAZN about a fight between him and Porter. “I’m focused on other things right now. If we had to fight and if it made sense, then that would be a fight that we would both agree upon. But right now, I feel like that’s not something we should discuss right now, because there’s nothing on the table for me,” said Crawford.

Terence isn’t saying what other fights are, but his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank Boxing mentioned recently that he wants to match Crawford against these elite light welterweights in 2020: Jose Ramirez, Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis. Crawford would have a size advantage against all of them, and they arguably be easier fights than if he were to face Porter, who would be a bad style match-up for him.

plain as day...stop being fgts....these guys ran their trap saying theyd fight anyone and they want good fights...even dropped porters name.....then a few days later they backtracked...they thought they could run their mouths and nobody would respond...they got their bluff called....reminds me of the MW guy there that used to beg for big fights and said he couldnt get anyone to fight him only to tell ward within minutes of being contacted....

clearly the game was "drop porters name and act like we want to fight anyone and everyone because the pbc never acknowledge us anyway...they wont let their guys fight crawford so well just run our mouth and act like want all the best fights"

then porter came out and said he was ready to make one.....they backtracked pretty quickly....why? i thought he wanted porter and the best fights?

      the silence is deafening....

its funny too...the pbc haters are the biggest proponents of the "guy doesnt want to fight him he just uses his name to help himself"...yet here we have a pretty clear case...arum saying theyre looking towards porter...bud saying hell fight anyone....then days later saying "its not on the table"...lol

Crawford's resume at WW thus far don't look to good. Team Crawford should concider negotiating the Porter fight. I don't want to see Crawford/Spence fight after the car accident Spence was in. He need a tune-up. I think Crawford wants to fight Danny Garcia.

I can't get into taking a side between Crawford and Spence. Yeah, I'd like Bud to fight better opposition but no way in hell am I gonna bash the guy.

It amazes me how right I've always been when I been saying all this for several yrs about Bud. I've said that he would do just this til his mid 30s at least, for the last several years & I was flamed non-stop for it. I've been saying top rank is where careers go to die & that their fighters go there to duck while cashing in check after check of no hoper after cherry after no hoper. I have literally said for several yrs that Crawford would never reach the next level because despite his talent he is content being called p4p #1 for beating no names & C/D levels while making good money & having a built in excuse to duck.

It amazes me that ppl on here still are defending him despite how obvious it was that he wanted no parts of Porter from day 1 & is blatantly openly ducking shook of the spoiler that is Porter but as soon as some can is vacant theres Crawford

I don't think there's too much to discuss, is there? When it comes to the basics, I think most people agree -- Crawford is a talented fighter who should be fighting better opponents. I suppose the question is about who is to blame for his weak opponents: him, his promoter, or a combination of both?

I think there is little question that Arum is a hinderance rather than a help to Crawford, but I also think that Crawford is starting to get a little pissed off with how things stand. Regardless, it doesn't reflect well on either of them when you look at who he has fought at WW. A pathetic line-up given his P4P reputation.
