He quite clearly states that it's a pick 'em fight. He does not say that Floyd will lose, that Kostya is the better boxer, or that Kostya has the ability to KO him. Please provide a link, as well.Originally posted by Smokin'Here's a quote from Jeff Mayweather (who by the way has gone on record stating that Floyd > Duran, Whitaker at 135) about Kosta:
I think Kosta Tysu is a extremely good fighter and has a undetermined desire to win. He does little things in the ring that only a trained eye may recognize as being something special. He is very strong and can punch with either hand yet, his best asset is his ablity to cut off the ring and force a guy to fight him even if he doesn't want to and his pressure is constant and he takes a pretty good shot. Kosta versus my nephew would be a great fight to watch. It's a pick em fight to me.Comment

I don't know why people keep drawing comparisons to the Collazo bout. Hatton has been humbled twice in his career....both to southpaws. Coincidence? I think not. Only reason why he has trouble with southpaws is becasue he fights very orthodox and without alot of variety. His game plan is pretty simple. If he's trying to cut the ring down he feints left, hits him with a left hook to the body and throws a right hand when he leaves. He did the same thing when he fought a southpaw and he got caught flush every time he would come in because Collazo was smart and he would lean back and throw a counter uppercut or his short right hook.Comment

There is no ulterior motive. Here is a quote from Jeff about what Roger thought of Floyd:
First I would like to say the Kosta Tysu that fought Roger so many years ago was still a little green in terms of his craft. Roger was near the end of his career. Roger gave a great account of himself against a young warrior that was very hungry and touted as one of the pound for pound best at the time. Roger said that Kosta was a very strong fighter but felt he wasn't as good as he thought with all the hype behind him.Comment

that word I bolded is a huge reason. PBF is always thinking in the ring. think about how many fighters have lost fights on that attribute alone. moving around the ring, circle away from a fighters strong hand etc.Originally posted by El Temibletoday i would take floyd against anyone from 140-154
oscar,winky,hatton,mosley
suprisingly for some the 1 i think givs floyd the most trouble is miguel cotto
Floyd at 140 would beat Kostya Tyszu at any time , too much speed an footwork ,also i think Floyd has too good a chin and defence to go down off 1 punchComment
