Great thread, BJS was considered the boogeyman that GGG didn't want to fight. GGG actually opted to fight Nelo instead of saunders because nelo was considered the smaller man who was believed to be an easier match up stylistically.

Still beating the dead horse of Isufi's literal one moment of success I see. "Ankle weights"? Lol. If this wasn't Lemieux 2 it was 95% there, in a total shutout for Saunders. Isufi didn't even win the single round in which he had this moment of success. Taking Saunders to task for Akavov or the Logan-KSI card makes complete sense...attacking this performance for anything other than the competition itself is absurd. Let's "timestamp" the entire rest of this right other than the first 30 seconds of Round 6 and see that how that goes.

Other than that, I agree with Shane. Saunders will almost assuredly fight up to the occasion if he secures the Canelo ticket and will be virtually guaranteed to look way better than that most recent disaster, even if he falls short of duplicating the Lemieux performance ever again. This can be a great fight, all agendas and bias aside.

Canelo doesn't want to fight GGG, Beterbiev, Bivol, Jermall, Dervy,or Benavidez but he would love to fight BJS who looked terrible winning his last fight and has not looked worth a damn since his last decent performance against Lemieux a long time ago. Nobody fears BJS anymore. Nobody said Canelo was afraid of him. GJS is a very safe fight for Canelo so your beloved emperor will win.
