Five years happened and Father Time is undefeated. As for the Yarde fight, Kovalev didn't have to worry about counters the way he had to against Canelo. Kovalev couldn't really open up against Canelo because of the heat that was coming back at him. Honestly he was close to getting stopped against Yarde, it's just that Yarde was even more tired than he (Kovalev) was.
