Ruiz’s next fight is definitely going to be Wilder, huh?

I think it’s the only logical thing, even if he has to wait for Wilder-Fury 3.

Maybe he fights a bum to stay warm until then but it feels like it has to be Wilder.

It’s the perfectly scenario for everyone. Ruiz gets another huge payday and it allows Wilder to destroy someone who knocked Joshua out.

If Ruiz is in as good or better shape than he was for his first fight with Joshua, he might win that.

He's probably 300 pounds though by now. My understanding is that he's still living the high life, not training at all.

Why ? Ruiz lost. Wilder, if he wins Fury of course, should fight an undefeated HW like Kownacki. If Wilder loses with Fury, he might fight Ruiz for retirement money. That's all.

Wilder has a two way rematch with Fury. After February Wilder’s next fight is Tyson Fury.

No. Haymon will preserve Ruiz for a while, until he needs to sacrifice him to dive for Wilder, which could be maybe next year.

Wilder will not fight Joshua any time soon. Haymon knows Wilder is a fraud coward pretender with no shot to beat Joshua.

Nope. What use is there in beating Ruiz? None. There’s no accomplishment in doing so, not for Wilder (who would end him.)
