Smh. I have a list of about 5 or 6 guys I personally want to see Crawford fight.

Again neither of these 2 are on that list.

Are we saying that Crawford, instead of fighting a legit threat at 147 in Shawn Porter, would rather fight an undersized opponent?

      People are defending this?
      I agree 100 percent.

His ranking is still a prize. Huge prize, especially for anybody who wants to be in elite rankings

Well at least that would prove that his undisputed run @ 140 wasn’t a fluke. Former vs current undisputed

I've got to agree that fighters shouldn't move up until they need to unless there's much better options at the higher weight, but Taylor's not far short of 30 and the age where anecdotally the weight cut becomes significantly tougher. i wouldn't be surprised if he was looking to move up within the next year or so anyway.

Ramirez has been fighting at 140 since he was 19 years old and at 27 would expect he's starting to struggle a little too, but again, unless he needs to he shouldn't be pressured into moving up.

Barros isn't ready for either. Might well never be, he should have lost to Akhmedov.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Ortiz ultimately turns out to be greater than either Taylor or Ramirez. Same goes for Subriel for that matter but it's early days for both kids yet, so I wouldn't get carried away. Folk were saying the same kinda things about Rougarou as they do about Browny and Vergil not so long ago.

Taylor/Ramirez winner is a good fight for ANYONE, including Terrence Crawford

Good points. Ortiz is a problem. He is going to run that division. Regis is just in a tough position. If you go to WW, I don't think Ortiz is the 1st fight you want to take.

Ortiz is an uber talent to my eye, but you can't always tell. Sometimes these kids fold when they hit real adversity though I don't think it's likely in Vergil's case... kid's composed beyond his years.

And I still think Regis is a fantastic fighter - he showed more skill than Taylor, but Josh is just one of those guys who's all dog and that's never easy to beat.

That's a hell of a fight actually... massive step up for Vergil, big risk for Regis, especially coming off a loss... two in a row can go a long way towards derailing a guys career so I'd be maybe thinking someone more proven but with less talent if I was Progais, make sure I got a W in the left column.

Are you the cat excited about D Garcia vs Ivan Redkach? I'm sure you are, seems to be your take on elite!
