The only reason to do pro boxing is the money. People got a mortgage to pay. Boxing is a life of pissing blood, brain fog and risking a blood clot on the brain. Wouldn't you grab opportunity when it came? Your always just one punch away from the end mate.

Yeah of course dude everyone knows that what would be the point of boxing if you weren't getting paid not everyone fights for just pride and glory has to be some reward.

What if he takes the fight on 3 weeks notice loses due to lack of preparation and gets pushed to the back of the roster like a bunch of other golden boy prospects? Is that 1 paycheck going to keep him secure for life or could he continue building fighting solid opponents (same opponent Haney fought just a few fights ago) still getting paid decent for his age and wait for the title shot to become mandatory while having a better chance to win and get paid even more if he wins.

I think in this case they felt it was no lose, as nobody thought he could win anyway. He's really in love with he's power, he's knocked out a few heavies in the gym and thought he could nail Golovkin. He didn't count on him having an iron chin and a subtle defence. He was training for Vargas, hes career didn't really look to be taking off even as champion. And he didn't even stand to lose he's Welterweight belt. I think the only thing that makes it look a big mistake now is the facial injury, but nobody couldve predicted that. It's not as if Golovkin had done that to anyone else. Going straight in with Spence may have been more foolish, but that's what a champion is supposed to do really isn't it? He could still make another big payday yet, believe it or not, him and Khan still sells in the UK, but nothing like it couldve admittedly.

Was pummelled pretty hard by Golovkin..

But with Spence, it was a pretty even fight

Not bad considering he came down from 160 and injury from the Golovkin fight

The Golovkin fight was a mistake. He may well have beaten Spence if his face didn’t fall apart again

Yeah I agree with that him and Khan would still be good in the UK and probably will happen this year.

Not really man it's an injury. I've always thought outclassed meant being made to look on a much lower level of skill, as in unable to even be competitive. That's what I always thought it meant anyway.
