When Ortiz fought Jennings, Jennings was a world beater. He was a universally recognized top five heavyweight contender who gave Wladimir Klitschko a decent fight.
Wilder may very well have avoided Jennings. I know Jennings was his mandatory but chose to fight Klitschko instead. Wilder-Jennings obviously never happened.
I’m glad you admit Whyte struggles. I have a hard time believing Wilder avoids him though since Whyte seems made for him.
Ortiz has won nearly every round in his career, was undefeated before his first title shot, is the former interim WBA heavyweight champion and destroyed a highly ranked fighter who gave Klitschko a good fight. I think that’s enough to earn a title shot.
I’m sure most people would believe Povetkin and Hunter are better than what Jennings is today (not what he was when Ortiz fought him of course) but it’s not certain that they are better. As you mentioned, Hunter’s two best wins are Bakole and Kuzmin, which isn’t a huge deal. His claim to fame is losing wide on the scorecards to a Cruiserweight. Povetkin is also much older now, fought to a draw with Hunter, got knocked out by Joshua and was hurt by Price. It isn’t certain that they would beat Jennings and they certainly aren’t what Jennings was in 2015.
So Jennings is a world beater now ? Funny you Lott use coming off loses to discredit but never use them when it pertains to any Wilder opponents, which ironically Jennings was avoided by Wilder and he fought Szpilka instead who lost to Jennings, must have been afraid of the best American HW right ? Ha
Whyte struggles In some fights because he throws punches and likes to brawl ,it’s why Wilder avoids him ,it’s a tough fight with a high volume puncher ,what does that have to do with you nut jobs making Ortiz out to be the boogeyman when you Lott refuse to state what has he done to get title shots ? You won’t answer because you know the answer is nothing .
Yep you guys keep twisting but in the end you are always cornered on here Because truths are brought up the truth is Ortiz is used to pump Wilder up nothing more but it isn’t that helpful when the guy has no significant wins is it ,at least none near the time he fought Wilder .
Do a poll on Hunter and Jennings let’s see who thinks is the better fighter ,one gave Usyk one of his tougher fights at CW and never lost at Heavyweight while the other is more gate keeper and peaked , see you can’t fool actual posters who followed both , big bad Jennings has no power while Hunter has defeated the actual punchers like Kuzman and Bakole , some thought he defeated Povetkin as well who is levels over Jennings which agin proves ydksab ,there’s no other way to put it .
Yep keep digging ,wrong on all angles here .Comment

Not getting involved in your guys debate just pointing out that altho Jennings was top 5 , who did he beat that was worldly to you ??When Ortiz fought Jennings, Jennings was a world beater. He was a universally recognized top five heavyweight contender who gave Wladimir Klitschko a decent fight.

Why couldn't povetkin beat him then ?? That was a good scrap I'd say hunters profile went up from it while povetkins did not . Neither are the next best thing but it's nice when a low profile cruiserweight moves up and is actually willing to take tougher fights . Very refreshing so nothing but love for hunter from me .Comment

Parker called him out a number of times last year. ***** whyte knows he loses the rematch and wont take it.
He won the lottery in the first fight thanks to the head butt knock down, and still almost died in the 12th round.Comment
