I was just stating, even though my fiat sentence said Joe won wide on two cards didn’t mean that that was the total outcome bro. Cheers
No worries, man, but you said the judges had Smith by 7 and 8 points when I think you meant he won 7 and 8 rounds. If he'd won by 7 and 8 points it would have been a WIDE overall. I got what you meant I just didn't want anyone getting confused was all.

Incredible how boxing can't get a past it's first weekend of the year without shooting itself in the foot though, but at least the right guy won.

EDIT: Goddamit! I'm a dumbass though.

I forgot that I needed to scale the points for it being a ten rounder which means it is actually a WIDE not a CLOSE. Final difference was 11 points which is CLOSE by a 12 rounder but WIDE by a 10 rounder. Fortunately it only effects JustinTKO who comes out 20 points worse off including the multiplier, but still did real well.

How'd I do in the game? Absolutely average - pretty much same as most people I figured Mungu would batter Spike and Hart would befuddle Smith. IRL - been learning archery with Jr, Xmas present from Granny Koba.

I think we'll pick up a few more players, but once it gets past Feb I reckon they'll only come in ones and twos, so Ima be on another recruiting drive for the next Pick Em. I got no shame, Ima just start plugging it in all my posts whenever I reply to someone who ain't already in.

I'm just a bit torn on the next Pick Em, I wanna keep the momentum going but the rest of the fights until the 30th pretty much Dogshart unfortunately. J-Rock vs Rosario next Saturday is a walkthrough and Swift vs Kedkach which might be fun but can only go one way the week after.

At least on 30th Tevin vs Jo Jo might be reasonably matched but it's hard not see Akhmadaliev as waaay too green for Danny Roman.

Let’s do J-Rock and Rosario, and Swift beautiful Redkack, because both of those odds are both heavily odded and we could see an upset; not with J-Rock but DSG. Dudes coming off two losses!
I really hate we missed out on the 18th between Elieder Vs Seals. But on Feb 1st let’s do Ramirez vs Postol. I don’t recall Ramirez ever fighting someone with the range Postol has; even though he’s been a shell of his former self. I think it has upset written on it.
Then it’s a dry spell, for the most part until my birthday, FEBRUARY 22nd! Clash of the Titans is a must!!! Tyson/Deontay.
That’s cool you’ve been learning archery with Jr. I bought 2 little four wheelers for my kids. Got my sound a lil automatic ****** and got my daughter a 125. I still ride my YFZ with em, but mines got a few mods for the track so it’s not too much fun...I just kinda corral them and keep them alive! Lol!
          Good to talk Koba

Damn, this is why the the Upcoming Pick Ems threads would be so useful. Somehow I totally missed Eleidar vs Seals, and it is a funny one... likely I would have passed on it given that Seals ain't ranked anywhere worth a damn, but an upset actually ain't at all impossible there and whatever it is it should be a fun one while it lasts. Would have been good to put that one to the poll.

And yeah, for sure it will be DSG vs Redkach, big mismatch again, but a fun fight and we gotta keep this thing rolling.

Postol vs Ramirez is an absolute must.. okay so Victors getting on now but he's still without a doubt among the best at 140... #4 by TBRB, Ring and Boxrec. This will really tell us whether Ramirez has what it takes.

Tell you what, man, have you got a bit of time to maybe run through the Boxrec and 'Scene schedules and see what we've got coming up for February? We're looking mainly at 4 and 5 star fights, significant title fights, anything between top 10 guys per TBRB or anything else that catches your eye.

If you reckon you're up for it you can throw together the upcoming fights thread, or maybe just post a list on here first and we can discuss it some and then I'll put up the thread, whatever you fancy. Either way there'll be some fights which are absolute musts like Fury - Wilder and Ramirez Postol and others which look interesting but might not be to everyone's taste which we can put to the poll. Anyways, see how you go on.

If you ain't got time I'l try to get to it before the end of next week, but I'm aware that the rest of the team are all keen to help but I end up doing everything myself cos I'm too disorganised to share the work out in a timely fashion

Koba, less the Fury/Wider duet and Ramirez vs Postal, FEBRUARY looks like a lost cause. Only good thing about it it’s the shortest month of the year. I’ll dig a lil deeper and see what else is going on. Cheers N.C.

There ain't an excess but I reckon we got just enough to keep it ticking over in February... plus there's another fight at the end of this month that I reckon should be in though finding a broadcast might be tricky... the Pole, Cieslak squaring off with Makabu in Kinshasa.

Then in February aside from the two you already mentioned we got GRJ vs King Tug, Kid Galahad vs Claudio Moreno, maybe (bad mismatch but it's Rigo) Rigo vs Solis then at the end of the month Mikey vs Vargas and Khal Yafai vs Choco.

Fairly nice chick fight with Terri Harper vs Eva Wahlstrom - even though Eva's well past her best - on the Galahad U/C but I don't think it's big enough shoehorn in...

Koba- seems to me that the overwhelming majority didn’t want chick fights. Let’s scrap Rigo and and Solis please! If it’s gonna be hard to see on a given platform let’s scrap it too!
Cheers. Can’t wait for the Vargas scrap doe

Ha - nah, I learned my lesson last year I reckon. If there's a particularly big chick fight, like Shields - Braekhaus or some thing I'll maybe put it to a poll but I ain't gonna force it down anyone's throat.

I like Cieslak - Makabu though, but I do take your point. Again it's one that would ideally be put to the poll to see if players would want it but I don't think not being able to see a fight live should necessarily disqualify a fight and these guys are both top 10 by every universal ranking (TBRB, Ring, Boxrec). After all just given the time zones we're always gonna be in a situation where not everyone can watch every fight live anyway.

Well, we got a coupla weeks, maybe we oughta put it to the poll just to see what the response is. I'm guessing we'll see a bit of a split between the real obsessives and the merely hardcore here..
