Because it's true. With GGG & Canelo alone they're spending over $90 mil a year. They're investing the most money in the US and still can't hit a mil subs

Horrible once again. Over the two month period they spent approx $60 mil dollars and still can't hit a million subs. Let's he optimistic and say all 800,000 are $20/mo subs. That's only $16 million. You know it's horrible because immediately afterwards Hearn comes out talking about raising the price again. The Jacobs vs. Chavez card isn't on the list and they spent $10 mil alone on that card. So that shows the people who bought it for Ruiz and Joshua aren't sticking around. That fight was included with that month.

Further, I'd like to think that Joshua Ruiz being in Saudi Arabia had a lot to do with the number of streams, given they both have a large following who were unable to see the fight otherwise. I'm not saying they are a flop. I'm just saying the jury is still out until the number of streams is released as it gives an indication of the number of subscribers.
Lol bro, you're not in court. Stop trying so hard. Al haymon will pay you regardless.

You can put two and two together to figure out how well dazn is doing without seeing exact numbers.

Unless you really just dont want to. Which is fine. But dont pretend to be objective.

It wasn't hard at all. Tell you what...what is your two and two that you put together? Why are you so pressed to attack a statement that doesn't make the assumptions you make. Some of you guys sound so weak calling people biased just because they don't blindly assume what you do. Is Hearn paying you? AJ?

Quite surprised to see Canelo labouring like that, I wonder if this will mean an exit from the platform?

As a side note, does this make AJ the biggest draw in the sport? (with all the data we have collectively i mean, not just this article) I'm not sure how their 19's earnings totals will look like but i'd imagine that Saudi money will push him damn near to Canelo.

With the worst return on investment for the viewers. Fight was boring, safe and one sided.

Can’t blame AJ we all knew what he had to do. His career was on the line. But Ruiz had a chance to become a legend and instead failed to meet the physical requirement.

As the first Mexican American HW Champion I still can’t believe he would go out like that. Physically unprepared and with out a mental game plan for making Joshua engage. But the lights can feel too bright sometimes, I hope the fat kid with fast hands bounces back.

So? Why does it matter what country the revenue comes from, the US or other countries? It's a subscription-based business. If the number of global subscribers brings in enough money to invest heavily in the US, what's the problem? DAZN is a very young platform with a growing stable. No need to apply ESPN-level standards to them at this point. They are trying to make boxing more popular and that's exactly what we all need.

... what your article eventually fails to mention, tbh:

"In total, more than 100 events (107) each surpassed one million streams during the year."

... of course, this is not about boxing per se, but it's about DAZN...

If it wasn't only about America they wouldn't be spending all this money in America. Other territories aren't making money other than Japan.

... it really was about the "major sports" in America, and Hearn lured DAZN into boxing first, and promised them later guaranteed market access... which didn't happen... actually...
