Hypothetically, if that someone were Andrade or Charlo, they'd have to get the IBF mando out of the way before the fight because it would likely come with a rematch clause, and the IBF will strip a fighter who takes a rematch instead of a stitting mando.

The disputed defeat ended his eight-year run with at least one belt around his waist, racking up a record-tying 20 successful title defenses along the way, including a 12-round draw with Alvarez in their first fight.

Jake, what happened to refusing to recognize junior titles... ?

or are Cliff and Lyle the only journalists with integrity... ?

Is it the best fight out there?

        No.

But this is a ranked opponent and an IBF mandatory. The IBF has stripped both GGG and Canelo in recent years for not fighting their mando (in both cases it was Derevyanchenko).
Triple bum just fought his mando this is a pointless fight.... he should be unifying or rematching chenko not fighting pointless ibf fights

If he unifies while Szeremeta is the sitting mandatory, the IBF will strip the winner if there is a rematch clause enforced (which there likely would be if he were to fight WBO champion Andrade or WBC champion Charlo).

How could Chenko be his mandatory if they were fighting for a vacant belt...

Gotta say I’m not surprised. 100 mil to fight cans. No wonder Eddie Hearn wants to bump up the price to $50 a month for DAZN. They’re loosing money with these kind of fights. And we’re the ones who end up paying for it.

In fairness to the IBF they can only rank the fighters that are willing to abide by it's transparent rulebook.

The question is why do so many promoters tend to keep their fighters away from that transparent rulebook?
