Never thought much of Breazeale to be honest and thought people were crazy to even think he could hang with Wilder.
That said he is a good opponent for Kownacki given Breazeale has been in with some of the best heavies out there even if he got destroyed by them, against lesser foes he has proven pretty resilient and has been able to hang long enough to make his power count. So it will be a decent gauge of what Kownacki is at heavy in my opinion, although it is fair to ask where Breazeale is at after the Wilder debacle.
Should be a very solid action fight between big guys and that makes for a good TV main event, and it does put the winner in solid position for bigger things.
That is a good fight for both. I hope it happens. Breazeale doesn`t have a good chin, we know that from Ugonoh fight. I favour Kownacki to stop Breazeale.
Considering what a war it was I would have thought that fight would be evidence that he’s got a good chin. The stoppage against Joshua was kind of a UK stoppage and he absorbed plenty of damage prior to that. The only time his chin’s not really held up is against Wilder, but try naming one guy who stays standing when Wilder hits them on the jaw. Unless that Wilder loss has caused lasting damage, I don’t see Kownacki stopping him.
I cannot wait for this fight and I honestly could see the upset coming! I appreciate Breazeale is 3-2 from 5, but Kownacki going the distance with Martin really shocked me. I really hope they go with Breazeale and not Hammer...

Breazeale got up against Wilder he didn’t again AJ,what are you talking about early stoppage ,he was unable to get up ? Ha
I did. I never thought much of Breazeale. I thought even less of him when I saw him struggle with Carlos Negron. If Negron had power and a gas tank he would have gotten Breazeale out of there earlier than Breazeale got him. I knew after that fight Widler would starch his a ss. But Breazeale has real power and the reach advantage over Kownacki. Plus Kownacki isn't always the most defensively responsible fighter (to put it mildy) so this fight represents real risk for him. He has to show he can maintain his aggressive style but with more disciplined defense.
Everything you said is exactly the same as I see it. Breazeale is mediocre at best, but can crack. He's slow as moloasse. He does have a good height and reach adavantage over Kownaki but I think Kownacki is going to grind him down. I don't think Breazeale can handle that pace. His best chance is to KO Kownacki while Kownacki is getting reckless with his relentless onslaught.
