I did, and it still doesn't make sense.
Pulev wasn't even in the IBF mandatory spot at that time. He didn't become IBF mando till he won a final eliminator with Hughie Fury a month after AJ/Povetin.
You are all over the place with that. Whatever Hearn was saying, and despite your contention that the WBO were acting on his instructions, Dillian Whyte didn't get the WBO mando spot instead of Povetkin, and Eddie had to cancel his scheduled Wembley event because Dillian turned down a shot at AJ.Then suddenly, right before the fight, the WBO says Povetkin isn't the mandatory and Hearn starts talking about Dillian Whyte being the WBO mandatory. When Whyte passed on the Joshua fight, then Usyk is suddenly WBO mandatory. All Hearn fighters. It's just a ploy to delay the IBF mandatory.
And like I said earlier .. Usyk didn't figure in any of this because he was still fighting at CW back then, so I'm baffled as to why you brought his name up.Comment

Wilder never made any attempt to fight Parker. During his whole 5 year reign as WBC champion, he avoided all the other belt holders.Comment

yes he was, wats that go to do with anything, joshua is a much better boxer then wilder with a higher profile and had more belts then wilder, he tried to unify with joshua, who has wilder tried to unify with lol how many fights has he had, look who he was fought compared to joshua, even parker has a better resume then wilder in much fewer fights.Comment

Deontay Wilder wants Joseph Parker to stop wasting his time trying to find a late replacement for Hughie Fury. Wilder would prefer Parker to skip his May 6 fight and instead accept a heavyweight title…
He called him out repeatedly. Parker came into his locker room and talked about the unification fight after Wilder beat Washington and then went silent.Comment

Nobody in the industry expected Hughie Fury to go into Bulgaria and get a decision. It was assumed Pulev would be the mandatory, but even if he wasn't, Hughie Fury wasn't with Hearn either. No matter how you slice it, the IBF mandatory wasn't going to be an in house fighter, so Hearn was trying to find a way for Whyte to become the WBO mandatory and skip in front of the IBF.
I'm not all over the place at all. Once the WBO pulled the last second switcheroo and suddenly the Povetkin fight didn't count as a mandatory, Whyte instantly became WBO #1 in the next ratings. When Whyte refused to fight Joshua, Usyk was named WBO mandatory and it was announced he was signing with Hearn. You are all over the place with that. Whatever Hearn was saying, and despite your contention that the WBO were acting on his instructions, Dillian Whyte didn't get the WBO mando spot instead of Povetkin, and Eddie had to cancel his scheduled Wembley event because Dillian turned down a shot at AJ.
I don't understand why you're so convinced that Hearn is an idiot. He's a brilliant promoter. He wasn't going to sit idly by while Joshua was forced to fight a series of non-Matchroom fighters. He knew for sure the IBF mandatory wouldn't be a Matchroom fighter, so he was doing everything he could to gain control of the WBO mandatory, and have it take place before the IBF mandatory.Comment

The point is AJ, Parker and Usyk are all under matchroom, whoever wins if Wilder or Fury fancy taking on Usyk or Parker for a relatively easy fight, they have to deal with matchroom.I don't mind this fight, but not for a trash bin title. First Fury dumps it, now AJ sheds it like a lizzard sheds it's skin. Why fight for a title nobody wants, people are giving it away. It's the scrap, the overflow. Parker is wasting his time chasing something where he'll still be the B side even if he kos Usyk. AJ will will still claim he beat Parker and nobody thinks Parker can take Wilders right.
Hearn knows exactly what he is doing here. He'll have two Heavyweight World Champions instead of just AJ, twice the fights = more money.Last edited by Angeljuice; 01-07-2020, 05:43 AM.Comment

Right ... so Parker went to the US to attend one of Wilder's fights then went to his locker room and spoke to him face to face about making a unification fight.https://www.fightsports.tv/wilder-ch...-summer-fight/
He called him out repeatedly. Parker came into his locker room and talked about the unification fight after Wilder beat Washington and then went silent.
Wilder waited till Parker was back in NZ then started talking shit and calling him out in the media. The fight never happened.
Wilder has been talking about unifying the division, calling out the other belt holders ... and doing nothing about it but talk, talk, talk for 5 fucking years!
He's the queen of the social media call-out. When are you fools going to wise up to this bullshit?Comment
