I didn't like it when Rousey was running her mouth about Floyd. And I don't like it now that Claressa is doing it with men's boxing.
They should set all the records they can in women's sports by all means. Aim high and achieve.
But they shouldn't try to act as if it's equivalent to the records in men's sports. That is like comparing apples and oranges.Last edited by doom_specialist; 01-05-2020, 04:12 AM.Comment

"Shields is back on January 10th in Atlantic City, when he headlines a Showtime televised card against Ivana Habazin in a batlle for the vacant WBC and WBO 154-pound titles at Ocean Casino Resort."
He? I didn't Shields was man, no wonder she's breaking records. Good looking out boxing clever.Comment

Absolutely, but our current political climate says that apples can be oranges if they want, and that you're a bad person if you tell them different. So even though an apple is becoming the youngest ever 3 time apple champion (which would be a walk in the park for an orange if they allowed it), pointing out that becoming the youngest ever 3 time orange champion would require much more talent (and be impossible for an apple) would be showing prejudice against apples. At least that's what the crazies are saying.Comment

Does this mean we can add this fight to this week's PICK EM's ?? Hey, it's right up there with Loma's record, right ?
(for the record, I think she's a bit delusional if she thinks the playing fields are equal, but I still wouldn't mind more women's fights included in the PICK EM's)Comment
