His big mouth and being a punching bag are two things about him that are offputting.

Nothing about him is special. He’s just a bloke in a very weak division until he moves up and gets sparked.

Most people on this board are casuals and they judge every boxer based on their last fight even if it’s either a bum or the boxer has an offnight. They don’t watch boxing.

It’s the same way they are overrating all these heavyweight prospects until they get knocked out. At least they have stopped sucking Ajagba off and they have moved to Dubois.

And I think maybe you ain't giving enough credit to Taylor for taking the fight to Regis and refusing to lie down even though he was getting beaten to the punch when Regis let his hands go.

Also, JT takes too much beating for him to last long in the sport. He’s always open for a big shot and would get brutally sparked once he’s in the ring with anyone who can ****. Prograis who isn’t known for his power almost blinded his eye, imagine what Lopez, Loma, Haney and even Commey would do to him if they were to move up.

I’ll rank Ramirez as 1 because I don’t think JT’s style can beat a Mexican. Ramirez is gonna left hook him to death. People need to stop blowing smoke up his arse.
Taylor has been getting hit and he does probably take a bit too much damage but I disagree that Prograis isn't seem as a heavy hitter... quite the opposite in fact, and I'd also reckon that given the relatively few fights Josh has had in the pro ranks the quality of his opposition is such that it ain't really surprising he's getting touched a fair bit.

Titere, Postol, Baranchyk and Prograis is as good a set of names as anyone at 16 fights deep for my money, outside of elites like Loma or Usyk.

Will he go down as a great at 140 or 147... well doubtful but I think he can carve himself out a respectable place based on grit and decent skills in the way that the likes of Froch were able to.

But sure... we each see things our own way, and I think everyone can agree that the fight that really needs to happen is Ramirez vs Taylor ASAP... that's the only real way of resolving this question, though I reckon Rougarou vs Ramirez would make a hell of a fight too (in fact that's one of the odd triangles where I reckon the styles meshes might lead to Taylor > Regis > Ramirez > Taylor...) but let's just hope we get a chance to find out.

This isn’t the heavyweight, in his weight class, it’s normal for fighters to fight B and C level opponents within a few fights since they’re going to eventually move up. He’s not doing anything special since he was an amateur for a long time. The guy is just a brawler that gets touched in every fight. And he won’t last long because the beating would take its toll on him.

In as much as I think he’s a better boxer than Froch but I don’t think he has Froch’s chin, power and durability. Froch also benefitted from a very weak division and gift decisions. And every time he faced someone who can box - he was massively outclassed cue Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell. I don’t even see a Froch in his career...he’ll most likely end up as a better version of Ricky Burns.

He looked pretty damn good to me. I thought he beat Prograis but at least 3 points and Prograis was looking like the best 140 pounder going into the fight. I think it's between Taylor and Ramirez for the best guy fighting at 140 now. You clearly hate Taylor for who knows why. I think he would have no problem beating Campbell.

I think the top 5 in 135 sparks him. I’d pick Luke Campbell to beat him if Luke Campbell moves up.
Prorais is an excellent fighter. Taylor showed that he had a second gear, can adjust and is mentally strong. He is an excellent fighter if he can keep his personal life in order.

He just beat Prograis who was regarded as the boogeyman lol to most people so yea, Taylor has to be put up there right now.

You’re a dummy who has never boxed a day in your life. So don’t compare your eye for boxers to mine.

Josh Taylor isn’t that good from what I’ve seen thus far. I don’t even think Prograis is that good, apart from showboating and he almost blinded JT with those feather fists. When you’re getting hit the way JT gets hit in a division as weak as that, it’s only a matter of time before you get sparked.

You mean an American hypejob? No bogeyman sleeps in the mid rds in championship Fights when you’re dominating.

Ah. Dunno what to say. You reckon he's what? #4 in his own division or something and that he ain't gonna have much longevity... fair enough. I can't prove different but I can point you to the fact that most folk rate him considerably higher. Time will tell I guess.

Far as I'm concerned any dude who can make it to the top few places in any division and unify deserves a whole lotta praise but I get it's the done thing around here to discredit the achievements of guys you ain't so keen on.
