Manny never retired. Fought all the way through. All decades.

Floyd retired twice. He comes back when there is an easy picked paid off opponent to be hand fed. Like a SFW coming up two divisions...Or a UFC fighter whos never fought in Boxing making his pro debut so he can get his record enhanced to 50....
woo woo woo Go Floyd. Thats a true champion there!

i think he won his first belt 1998 or 99 as a minor basically. age dont mean crap in fighting terms. a 16 year old can beat down a 28 yr old man in the street or in the ring if they train of course.

      touché to him.

who's next for pac for his resume if not crawford, spence or danny garcia?

is there anyone? literally has to be one of them for him to actually get pumped up really.

you pacfans find the most ridiculous reasons to hail greatness

technically, the reign of "champ in 4 decades"... could extend for 2 decades and 2 days, 1 day on either end of each decade

Hopkins reigned from 1993 to 2016

Pacquiao and Mayweather won titles around the same time, that run is a couple of years longer than Mayweather, without the depth

      here is the main problem...

the example you posed is the reason why historians only use one criteria for greatness... who did you beat, with consideration given to when/how...

back in the day, there was only one title... in which case Pacquiao would not have become champion by beating Keith Thurman

I would say that a number of fighters beat a Keith Thurman level-opponent at 40... and that is all we are talking about here... because above 130, Pac has only ever fought the best ONCE

Shut up. Floyd isn't a boxer anymore. Manny is. Floyd quit years ago. A rich Coward. He will never be considered the great of all time. Manny will.

I haven’t found a name yet but I did find a potentially surprising name who came really close to accomplishing this same feat.

                Virgil Hill.

This is why Pacfans are a laughing stock. It's 21 years, but because the dates luckily fall for him they want to claim 4 decades.
