I was just about to make this thread.

I think he should take a fight against a fringe contender like Tony Thompson, then he can decide his next move depending on how that goes.

Was the damage to his eye signifigant? I heard it was a minor injury with no detail's shortly after the fight, but if it's still healing from April it may have been worse than was reported in the story I read.

I heard it was severe as much as as Sugar Ray Leonards...Whether or not thats true is another story. Either way that type of injury can put you out for a long time, its more than breaking a bone or tearing a muscle.

detached retina, very serious injury, could be career ending...

i think youre right about a fringe contender, he should stay away from tony thompson though, who is a southpaw that throws in combination and fights well inside.

that would be a very bad matchup for lamon. he should fight audley harrison, that would be a nice easy win.
