I'll be real about it. If the Tank that knocked out Pedraza showed up it would have played out differently. Tanks not super talented or anything but he isn't a bad fighter. He's just regressing because of weak competition and a ****** lifestyle.....

So sad he could give us a legit big fight at 135 or 130 vs Loma, but instead he is an undisciplined fool. He is quite good, but at this pace will amount to nothing.
Very frustrating for boxing which is loosing popularity, to waste one of the few possible boosters.
And as you say, he isnt a Naseem Hamed either, he is skilled but not insane.

Thank you for your post. This could haven not been said in any of the countless other threads on Tank.

I just go by what I see. He did not look like the outstanding fighter he is supposed to be. Haney looked bad too last fight. Lopez looked great.

Or maybe his power isn't as effective at 135. That's what it looked like to me. He hit Gamboa with some huge shots and it took 12 rounds to get him out.

I agree with you, but following that, Lopez didn't look great against Nakatani, and then fought a great fight vs Commey.

Not sure the Tank that faced Pedrazza is even still around. He's struggled to make weight ever since that fight.

The fight didn't last long enough for Lopez to look bad. He won in dramatic fashion, and we didn't learn much new about him. More importantly, Lopez didn't learn anything new about himself.

Lomachenko isn't gonna make it that easy.

As for Tank, the same I said about Lopez applies to him. Majority of his opponents (and their respective performances) aren't teaching Tank anything new about himself. He's used to hitting guys and hurting them, very little resistance. They aren't making him re-think his approach, he's simply overpowering them. He probably wouldn't get away with that against the guys we want him to be facing.

Styles make fights. Commey was tailor made for Lopez cause he likes to trade and his head movement sucks. Nakatani was awkward and rangy.
