This is a much better fight , Gorman wasnt quite what the doctor ordered , I think that Warren " cashed him out " the best he could . I dont know who wins this one, I will pick dubois because hes faster and seems to hit harder , but joyce has this weird way of looking way worse than he is . I like how Warren is doing this . More promoters need to do this . This is why boxing was much more fun back in the day, everyone fought everyone and 1 loss ain't **** when u are consistently fighting the best available evenly matched opponents . Instead of trying to milk guys who are never going to be great for every penny they can get pretending they are the goods ....I get it,its business but boxing would have much more fans and promoters would likely make more money if they made the best fight the best .....and now my rant has got me thinking how boxing needs one governing body but that's a whole other story that iam sure everyone here has gone over MANYtimes .

DDD has the advantage in activity but not sure that’s enough . Joyce can wear him out down the stretch and overwhelm the less experienced DDD . I’d say Joyce gets the better of the two ,it all depends which Joyce shows up .

Young career. Usually they will protect the "0" until they can cash it in with a champion.

Is Warren having a difficult time finding match-ups for these two? Is he under some pressure by a network? I'm trying to wrap my head around why he would make this right now. I guess I'm so used to promoters over-marinating match-ups that it's weird to see a promoter do the complete opposite.

Even one is 100% better than the Yanks who have nobody other than Wilder and a few planks on the horizon.
That's why Wilder avoids AJ, if he loses, American heavyweight boxing is dead. There's nobody world class in the pipeline for the future.

            RIP USA.

Joyce is not so young, he turned pro very late.
If Dubois can't beat Joyce, he won't make it at international level. I think Joyce is too basic to get to the very top.
I hope Dubois can prove himself.

I agree, Joyce is basic, DDD should beat him easily if he is future world title holder.

I think it's too early for Dubois, Joyce has an awful lot of amateur experience. If Dubois wins it will be very impressive.

This certainly looks to be the case but if Dubois were to crash and burn at this point it would not be a total shock. Right now Dubois is passing the eye test but nothing more. Joyce will be more of a trial by fire.

Joyce is only ranked by WBC, so does this win move Dubois up the IBF/WBO rankings? Dubois is young and has faced absolutely no resistance yet. If Joyce pummels him, how do you even begin to rebuild him? Can Warren not try harder to get Joyce into mandatory position, does he lack faith in him to beat the top-tier guys? It feels like Warren is cannibalizing his roster, but the cause or objective is not too clear.

Saying all of that, I like the match-up and will be watching.
