Comments Thread For: Julio Cesar Martinez vs. Jay Harris Title Fight Nearly Done For 2/29

Mikey Garcia and Jessie Vargas have vowed to deliver a Fight of the Year-level war in their upcoming welterweight crossroads bout. With a potential undercard addition comes the possibility of it not even being the best fight of the night. BoxingScene.com has learned of advanced talks in place for a flyweight clash between recently crowned titlist Julio Cesar Martinez and unbeaten contender Jay Harris. Once finalized, the fight will land on the undercard of a February 29 DAZN shows topped by former multi-division titlists Garcia (39-1, 30KOs) and Vargas (29-2-2, 11KOs), live from The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Martinez is a beast he’ll whoop Harris easily as long as it’s not in the UK Martinez already got screwed over there once.

Martinez is one of the most exciting fighters in the sport. This is shaping up to be one of the best cards DAZN has ever put forth.

He absolutely annihilated Edwards but that final shot was about as egregious and calculated foul as you could get.

I kinda treat it as a win and a good one when evaluating Martinez but equally you can't allow a dude to get away with that kinda bullchit.

I do agree that Harris has next to no chance though.

This is sleep shaping up to be a great card by Eddie Hearn and DAZN!
IDK why so many haters love to hate on Eddie and DAZN when all he's trying to do is give the fans great fights for their money.
$100 a year for a DAZN subscription is definitely a bargain.
IDK why anyone would complain about that??

Well Selby and Edwards are good fighters. Why wouldn't you like Martinez because they are from the UK?

I've seen Martinez up close and personal with my own two eyes, he is a beast and will slaughter a decent fighter in Harris. I want to see him get a unification against Mthalane next
