Non of my family watch boxing much, my brother will watch the big fights.
Non of my my closets circle of friends like boxing, not even casually for the big fights. I have probably one friend who actually follows the sport closely, he's someone I will go fights with..we usual rope others in who are just there to tag along.
Most of my other friends will tune in when there's a big fight though. Joshua etc.
If I'm watching the fight on TV though, I enjoy watching it on my own to be honest. So I can score it and focus.
None of my close friends are into boxing. In my social circle, two people are into boxing: my dad and a guy I used to work with. My dad was a huge boxing fan in the 80s. Nowadays, I'm the reason why he still has a little interest in the sport, I keep him up to date with what's going on in boxing. We'll watch cards together sometimes but you know "No one can compare to Duran, Hearns, Leonard and Hagler" so he has little appreciation for today's stars.
Though this thread represents a small sample, one has to wonder where Boxing Promoters/Networks find all this money to throw at the biggest stars in the sport especially in North America.
Like I've mentioned, I used to watch boxing with some friends and relatives.
I'm all alone now.
When we get together on social occasions it's clear they're no longer familiar with names that are regularly mentioned here.
They don't know who Tyson or Wilder is let alone lesser names.
Don't take my word for it. Make your own little survey by standing in one corner of your street and ask random passers by.
