It's not news that Americans are terrible at saving. We talk about it year after year after year. New to the 2016 conversation, though, is the fact that just 37% of Americans could pay for a $500 emergency using money from a savings account. The other two-thirds would have to resort to cutting their spending, charging to a credit card or borrowing from friends and family.

The $20 a month people are those people. Charge $50 a month and they'll illegally stream. With PPV those costs are delayed a month out on your cable bill. You don't have to come up with it at once.
I pay the annual, and I still will ****ing cancel if they increase it out of principle.

No he does not. DAZN is more than just a boxing or combat sports platform. It's a sports platform that streams many other sports besides boxing. Eddie Hearn was just put in charge of all of its boxing content on the platform that's all.

You're crazy if you think Eddie doesn't have a say in what DAZN does in America. They've trusted him with their American boxing strategy. Nobody at DAZN has the purse strings that Eddie has. Eddie has shares in DAZN.

You misunderstood me. I said that Eddie Hearn was put in charge of the boxing content on DAZN platform. It's just like Bob Arum being in charge of all of the boxing content on the ESPN network.

So, Hell yeah Eddie has some say. His voice does count for something. All I am saying is he doesn't have the final say because he is not the boss. John Skipper and DAZN's majority shareholders are. They have the final say in a price hike/increase not Eddie Hearn.

Let me tell you something. This is something they've already discussed. Eddie is out there letting people know it's coming. So when they increase it to $35 a money people will say well at least it's not $50 like Eddie wanted. He's already had that discussions with DAZN and his input was given. How else would he know the subscription, views, and churn rate. That's not information a guy who's solely making boxing decisions (as you claim) needs to know.

I think the increase will come around the time of the Canelo fight. They're finally realizing that a person who pays $20 for a Canelo fight will pay $50 for a Canelo fight.

Let me explain it to you again. Eddie Hearn sits on the board of DAZN. Therefore, his voice counts and is heard. Have they had that discussion before in the past; I'm pretty sure they have? Can we expect another price hike in the future; Most likely we will? However, until the board; Which includes both Eddie Hearn, John Skipper and the majority shareholders all vote to ratify it. Then the price shall remain the same.

So we've gone from Hearn doesn't have a say to Hearn has a say but isn't the final voice. I agree with the second statement.

I doubt that decision needs to ratified in a board meeting, it’s more a working level. John skipper would be the key man.

Eddie can have his say but won’t be the main man in any decision at all. If you watch his interview he didn’t indicate it was going to happen at all, he only suggested it could be done in that way. In fact all indications he gave was that there was no change in the foreseeable future as the main 2020 objective was to further gain momentum of subscribers.
