Vargas took a good beating in that broner fight. That can take alot out of a fighter. Mikey took some punishment in the spence fight as well, but mostly body shots. Interesting to see what both of these guys bring feb 29.

Both guys only fought once last year. I'd say this fight will be competitive since Vargas has more experience at 147 as opposed to Mikey, but Mikey has better ring IQ than Vargas (imo) and can cruise to a decision win. At least the undercard is shaping up to be decent. If we get Yafai/Chocolatito as the co-main that would be icing on the cake

One can make a case and a serious argument that Vargas defeated both Broner and Dulorme. Those two fights did not seem like draws to me. They were both close fights and at the flip of a coin toss could have gone either way.

In addition, Personally, I had Jessie winning the Broner fight. However, the decision is what it is. Also, he almost knocked out Timothy Bradley in the final round of their bout too. However, I thought Tim was aided by the referee.

How can Vargas not miss that big head of Mikey..I think it's going to be a competitive fight. 50/50. I see Mikey winning by majority D. But I hope Vargas wins.

Garcia via brutal knockout is my pick.
