World champion in 4 decades. That¡¯s basically a champion of a couple of generations.

    True Legend.
And that's what we called "real" accomplishments in boxing not just a mere boxing awards like fotd, foty, fight/ko/round/cashcow of the year etc.

He should have rematched nelo at 160. Might've had a genuine chance of being fotd.then. PACs the BOOT. Best of our time

Man I just realized, we're lucky to be witnessing this kind accomplishment happening in our very own era. It's still on going too, the old man is still not yet finished. Who knows if he can still unify a belt or two, it's quite possible that he would attempt something risky like this before he fades into the sunset. This is a great time for us.

I would imagine during the time of Wilt Chamberlain, Sugar Ray Robinson etc .. where record breaking history is happening before their very eyes, the fans who lived in that era must have enjoyed the hell lot of their sport. What a time to be alive! Well, I just realized so are we, we've been living in the same exact record breaking moment. We have in our era a very little man breaking his way to 10 divisions and winning 8 division titles in the process, 5 of that are generational or lineal titles, then becomes the oldest welterweight champion and the only champion in 4 decades and **** he's not yet through, the journey is still ****ing ON! All these things has happened in our very own era. We're blessed to be alive in this era man.

Bro he looked like **** against Joppy it was sad, he was a shot fighter and it wasnt even close he got stopped in that fight, also he is only a Two Decade champion even if he won that WBA he would have only been a three decade champion.

He won belts in the 70s and 80s only. He would have needed to win a belt in the 90s and 2000s to be a 4 decade champ.

Duran and Jack Johnson are the only 5 decade fighters.
