Right. 00-10 only looks pretty on paper, but is as arbitrary as any other ten years. Every day is a new “of the last ten years”. Why give extra merit to an award that is partially based on timing? They were probably thinking that he finished the year with back-to-back and three of four FOTY awards. No one else won more than one. He also finished the decade by winning titles in 4 different weight classes in 20 months. So there's those things. To compare 90s Jordan to 00s Mayweather is not just asinine, it's quite frankly disrespectful.

Why are you trying to fit a regular-season/playoff basketball comparison into the sport of boxing? There is no boxing equivalent of doing good in the regular season and coming up short in the playoffs. Every fight in boxing is of the utmost importance.
