It was obvious by his movement that he injured himself, saying it is an excuse is ridiculous, would you limp around a ring while a boxer is trying to take your head off if you didn’t have to. The lengths that some of you so called BOXING fans go to is extraordinary when it comes to DEFENDING your mancrush. Some of you clowns should read your posts before pushing the button
So the “crippled” Gamboa miraculously can train again in one month

Haha The kind of injury and the extent can be argued without definitive evidence to the contrary, but it was plain to see Gamboa was impaired during the fight. It was painful to watch, actually. One doesn’t need to have a tear or a break to function well below normal. Even if Gamboa was 100%, he was still old and shot. Fighting with an injury on top of it all was just crazy. It was obvious by his movement that he injured himself, saying it is an excuse is ridiculous, would you limp around a ring while a boxer is trying to take your head off if you didn’t have to. Is that even possible?
Assuming Gamboa didnt have an injury, it still took Davis 12 rds to stop him while Castellanos took less rounds than that.
And considering Davis being a KO artist and Gamboa taking tons of solid punches throughout the fight, it was still a referee stoppage with Gamboa not as hurt as many people thought he would be.Comment

The ref stopped it because it was the third knockdown in a hopeless effort. Gamboa probably could’ve continued. Davis smashed him wish some heavy shots earlier in the fight, and the chinny Gamboa didn’t flinch. I don’t think Tank’s power has made the trip to 135 with him.Is that even possible?

Adrenaline. I broke both bones in my wrist when I was younger, and it had to be pointed out to me. My wrist literally looked like the letter S but I felt nothing. I looked at my arm confused the same way Gamboa looked down at his ankle at first.Comment

Gamboa walked through a three punch combo in the first round and that’s when I thought “oh...this could be interesting.”The ref stopped it because it was the third knockdown in a hopeless effort. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Gamboa take punches like that without going down. In fact, the punches that put him down in this fight were probably not as hard as the ones he withstood. I don’t think Tank would’ve floored a fighter with a decent jaw with those punches.Comment

An utterly mismatched fight. Gamboa can have the best training regimen in the world and be physically fit, but you could tell right from the beginning round he's not mentally prepared. He throws his ****** jab into the air without intending to land and so terrified to get countered; he does it probably just to keep Davis at bay, then clinches at the sign of danger.
Even a little girl could knock you out if you're not mentally fit to take punches. Watch Canelo's mental preparedness in his 2nd fight with GGG, as one example of a guy who is ready to take huge punches and focused on hurting the opponent. Or Derevyanchenko against Golovkin.Last edited by maguirre; 01-01-2020, 12:45 PM.Comment

Is this where you lot are getting your info?"I my age, I don't have many years left, but if the doctor tells me that there's no need for surgery and rest, and everything can get better, in a month I can start training.''Comment
