    This is a serious question.

Just rewatching the Foreman Ali fight and man Ali was awesome man. He was taking those punches allowing Foreman to wear out and then BOOM.

But what if Ali fought like Joshua did against Ruiz 2nd time?

What if Ali fought every fight with intention of winnin on points, by running hugging and pillow jabbing?

Would he still be considered the greatest? Would he have been as historic to boxing as he has been?
Fury would have Ali on skates. Late stoppage or ref wave off because they want to save Ali.Ali would be a multi division champ if he can beat champs before Fury unifies but he would be known as one of the best fighters of Furys era, not likely more.

If Ali was strictly a points fighter, would he still be the legend he is today??!

I essentially answered you, yes and no, yes because he would still be brilliant, but no because a greater fighter in Fury would body him and overshadow him.

No I’m speaking in his era.

If he were to fight Foreman, Frazier, etc. by running hugging and points only, avoiding all combat whatsoever.
          How would he be ranked?
