Comments Thread For: Otto Wallin's Promoter Interested in Dillian Whyte Showdown

Otto Wallin's promoter, Dmitriy Salita, has expressed interest in a potential 2020 showdown with WBC interim-champion Dillian Whyte. Whyte saw action earlier this month in Saudi Arabia, where he picked up a unanimous decision win over Mariusz Wach. In a recent interview, Whyte explained that he plans to fight again in March or April - with several names being mentioned as possible opponents - including Wallin.

You honestly think Warren is going to put Dubois in with someone like Whyte anytime soon?

Pointless fight. Wallin is crap. Going 12 with the HW Malignaggi isn't that big of a deal

He has mentioned it recently why not, he is a big puncher and Whyte chin is not iron.

Warren has said lots of things over the many years. Dubois is going to be fed Journeymen until an easy vacant title becomes available or he's in a position for a massive money making fight. He's not going to risk it with someone like Whyte.

I don't necessarily think it's a bad fight but Wallin is still coming off a loss even if it was a pretty strong performance all things considered. He should at least pick up a win against some reasonable opposition before he warrants a fight with Whyte, I think. I also have a hard time seeing Whyte being all that interested.

Another truly pathetic opponent for whyte.
Wallin can barely throw a combination.

There are guys like parker who would fight whyte in an instant, but this is what they come up with. I hope whyte puts on another Wach performance to demonstrate how awful and cowardly he really is.

I'm sure Rivas would love to rematch him with clean blood and examined gloves too
