The Pacquiao analogy should not be used as circumstances were different. Pacquiao's camp actually expressed to Mayweather's camp that there was a shoulder injury before the fight. They even requested to allow Pacquiao be given a cortisone injection before the fight. The request was denied, prompting Pacquiao to claim he wasn't 100% during their clash. I believe Pacquiao's gripe was legitimate enough to be found somewhat believable and warrant a rematch. There was never any mention of Gamboa's achilles situation until after his fight with Davis.
