He was the man to beat at 135. He unified 140. He beat Postol and Indongo. I don't care what you think about them. They were the best available at the moment at 140 and world champions. Both #1 in the division. And he beat both with ease.

He moved up to 147 and beat Horn who had a very close dirty fight with Pacquiao. And made Khan quit.

His resume is not bad and you can only beat those who are available and willing to step in the ring with you. You can't beat Spence when Spence is not available for a fight. You can't beat Pacquiao when Pacquiao is not available for a fight.

    Keep hating...

If he was with PBC, he wouldn’t get any hate.

I don know man..... Crawford supporters starting to use them GGG type narratives! That’s saying a lot because most of you guys shet on ggg now you giving Bud a pass to do the same shet! I don’t wanna hear no excuses, if guys who go out of their way to please their fans get criticized, I don’t wanna hear no excuses for the fighters like Crawford who call themselves P4P but are very comfortable not proving it! It’s lame AF

          Neither deserve hate.

GGG defended the middleweight championship 20 times, tying Bernard Hopkins for most defenses ever. He also fought everyone who was available to him and is currently trying to fight a top 5 p4p fighter for a third time.

Crawford is a three divisional champion, one of two current fighters who became an undisputed champion and is trying to fight Pacquiao or Spence.

It’s insane to criticize either of them.

PBC crew doesn't like him because he isn't with them/Haymon...Canelo crew doesn't like him because he rivals Canelo for pfp.

Those 2 crews can be loud voices...I agree with you though Maxi, his resume is quite solid and importantly, he has no real questionable decisions...he has won everything clean...the Postol fight was 50-50 going in and he dominated...people should give Crawford quite a bit of credit for his resume so far...not ATG or HOF necessarily at this point...but he is on his way if he keeps performing.

              No he didn't.

Defenses of the WBA "regular" belt don't count.

Well said...this is basically my take as well...maybe some dislike GGG because some GGG fans said he would kill Canelo or something if they fought...maybe there was some overhype from GGG fans for him...but I just feel it is very hard to really criticize the man when you see him in the ring...it's obvious the dude is/was a great fighter, and if he wasn't, it would have been proven many times over the course of his career.

Stevens/Lemieux would have hurt him...Brook/Monroe/etc etc would have gone 12 rounds...there were about 15 of those types of fights for him vs quality fighters or better, where he showed basically no cracks in the armor...fair to say GGG didn't dominate Danny as much as expected, and could say the same for the Canelo and Derevy fights...but I thought he won 3 of those clean and the only really close fight in those was the last one vs Sergiy.

Same type of story for Crawford at this point...he has been in with enough good/very good fighters to where we would know if he wasn't A level...he has proven he is.

Exactly how great he is, well that is up for debate, and the future may tell that story as well.

For some reason I think they did count those...and in reality they probably should have, as GGG was the clear number 1 at MW at that time, and was more or less fighting the best available guy at MW during his run...certainly would have to say his run of defenses was quite a bit better than BHop's.

And that is kind of the point...GGG had a number of defenses at MW vs good/very good fighters even before his fights with Canelo, and never really showed any issues in any of those...that's rare for any fighter and not sure how that isn't more or less universally appreciated...usually guys have hiccups in those fights or at least show some real vulnerability (think even Crawford vs his last opponent...GGG has like 10 bodies like that on his resume with just about 0 issues).

If people want to get on GGG because some overhype(d) him, well to each his own...I don't really get the big backlash on Crawford at all...not that I really understand it on GGG either...but Crawford doesn't really have fans like GGG does, who are that vocal...the backlash against TC just seems really silly to me...dude was great at 2 weights and now is up at 147 and looks good.

Should be appreciating him (and GGG) and not so much over the top hate...my 2 cents anyway.

Crawford has a great resume. He's been world and lineal at 135, world, lineal, and undisputed at 140, and world at 147. He's taken zeroes off of Gamboa, Postol, Indongo, Horn, Benavidez, and Kavaliauskas. Plus he's beaten Burns, Beltran, Dulorme, and Khan on top of that. He's among the elite in the sport. It's very crowded right now. Crawford and Spence. Canelo. Inoue. Loma and Usyk. Pacquiao.
