I like Crawford, he is a Top 5 fighter. He's making a monumental mistake not taking the Porter fight. He really doesn't understand the credibility he would gain if he could beat Shawn Porter. Porter will probably find his way to another title, he has gone toe to toe with most of the best, and has lost razor thin decisions when he has lost. He's never been beaten down. An argument could be made in every decision loss that he could have won.

If Khan is ok, Mean machine ok, Kavilauskas (?) was ok, if it made any sense to fight them .... how can it not make sense to fight Porter ... who would wipe the floor with all of those guys (spare me the mandatory-WBO title noise, none of those guys hold a candle to Porter).

It hurts to see it, but Crawford (who wants a big fight, and still hasn't proven much at WW) is ducking Porter. The money is there, the challenge is there, Porter is respected a hundred-fold over anyone Bud has faced .... and if Bud could win it, he would instantly become the top guy at WW (with Spence still in recovery).

Nothing else makes sense for Crawford.
