Yeah but we are a minority when added to the overall numbers from a big nights Boxing. However i agree this guy sounds as casual as they come and its not these guys that are doing any damage here. If all you guna do is check out a 15 second clip of a knock out on Twitter the chances are you were never guna watch the full fight or even highlights anyway. He wont be contributing to the sport any time soon.

The ones hitting the numbers and the money are the ones who illegal stream fights. If a fight is guna cost you money then ppl are going to go around that and stream it for free. And im not just talking big priced PPV's im talking anything that is not free to air. And this isnt just affecting Deontay Wilder or punchers in general, its all of them.

Unless your a hardcore fight fan, which is a dwindling demographic in the US, paying $80 for a fight is a big ask. Big PPV numbers are driven by the casual sports audience.
People don’t pile into a room to watch a replay. They do that to see it live because live is electric. Your friend stands alone on his fakeass boxing fan island.
*uck it! We’ll do it live!

          No.

'We live in a microwavable age, where everyone wants everything right now' Bernard Hopkins.

Nothing much you can do for people like your co-worker, his reasons for not wanting to watch the rematch seem very obtuse. The most captivating part of any sport is witnessing the process where a athlete is attempting to achieve the end result. Very strange ideologies some people have these days, and it is these people who are driving the demand in all forms of entertainment and sport 'Because they may be out numbering the hardcore supporter or people who have the ability to appreciate effort holistically'

Look at the state of this thread? Here is a man who is not going to watch the rematch, because the knock or end result will be on social media within afew minutes/hours after the fight 'It's 2019 and boxing supporters, are worrying about drawing the attention of a prick'.

Note: I don't like social media personally, and just to make a statement? If I was a boxing promoter, I would ban all fighters from using social media.

Yea the KOs go viral on the internet, but half of the fun watching a Wilder fight is the tension not knowing when its going to come. Yea he will be outboxed each fight but you never know when its all going to change. Thats a bad take. This is first fight in a while Im actually planning to buy and PPV looking forward to. Hope the undercard isnt trash

Boxing enthusiasts love the ebb and flow of a fight and how a ko materializes. With heavyweight fighters every single last one of them is a mistake from taking a short on the mat nap. But that’s what makes us fans not observers..we watch waiting for the moments to arrive, observers want to watch the moment itself only.

Wilder is an idiot who runs his mouth, not a good combination at all. I know, you being one of his gay lovers, this will hurt your feelings. And I know that Wilder has said he wants to get pregnant (look it up) so maybe you can be his baby daddy???
But Tyson said worst things, so that can't be the reason

People who just want to see the finish never financially contributed to the sport anyway. I remember it being like that all the way back to the Tyson fights when I was a kid. People would wait for it to show up on the news.

People who buy ppvs are in it for the ride. Just how people go to a movie to see the ups and downs, not just the ending.

Your friend likely isn't watching any boxing then. He sounds like the type who would watch a 12 round FOTY and call it boring and ask to see the 45 second highlight video instead. Any promoter who tries to appeal to this type of fan is an idiot.
