Clown is delusional!! Especially after that snoozer against old shot Gamboa!! “Loma at the end of his career...and we taking our time” aka - no Loma fight anytime soon!!

You run into the problem you always get with this kinda shit though that having to split the purse more equally means that very often two A sides fighting each other end up earning no more than they would fighting someone who's less of a draw but takes a smaller split. Not quite sure how the dynamics of this particular matchup would work for that.

I ain't really on the pulse with public feeling in the US but I'm not getting the sense from the 'Scene that anyone's really seeing this one as some kinda mega-fight that'd do some massive PPV though.
It's not just that fight it's fights going forward. Most of those people at the fight don't know who Lomachenko is. But every Lomachenko fan knows Gervonta. A fight with Gervonta exposes Lomachenko to a larger audience.

I thought I read he was penalised for not being on weight for the first attempt... ah, maybe it was for being late or something?

        Hmmm..

Balitmore’s Davis will pay an undisclosed fine out of his seven-figure purse to the Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission for failing to make weight on his first attempt. Part of that fine will be paid to Gamboa, a three-division champion from Cuba.

Can't say that i would on my end, but it would be a smart move. After the GAmboa foght, I'd pick Teofimo to smoke Tank in less than 9 rounds.

He got that cow part right. Big boy will quickly be ducking Crawford and Spence if he doesn't start getting disciplined.

I'd be going off your word there, man, from an outside (global) perspective I tend to think of Loma as the bigger star but within the US market their positions might well be reversed, though you'll have to forgive me if I don't take your word as gospel. Whichever way it is though the question is whether that audience would follow Lomachenko over / back to ESPN if he should beat Tank.

Either way I'm not seeing a huge reason why the financials - either short or long term - would really provide that great an incentive to fight Tank before Teo rather than after, although he certainly should try to fight both of 'em this year, cos time ain't on his side.

Personally I'd rather Loma fight Teo then Devin, and maybe give Tank a chance to sharpen up a bit and acclimatise to the new weight before facing him in maybe '21, likely make financial sense for both of 'em too (unless Loma loses before then of course), but we'll see how it falls. That's too much to hope I'd guess and the gods of boxing are rarely that kind.

Pudgy is trying to sell himself as the "A-side", so he has a built in excuse to duck Loma now. Learning from his master I see.

That would also be a great fight between Lopez and Davis..
IDK who I'll favor just yet to be honest. It's a great close fight that either fighter can win.

He turned up an hour late so he really had 2 hours when most get 1.
