Davis about Loma" Were taking are time"

In the post fight press conference when asked about Loma fight he said people want to fight him because hes a big payday fight. Says Loma is up in age and trying to make the biggest fight happen now. He said hes only 25 and everybody got a different path and hes taking his time.

I thinks that's very prudent. He doesn't need to get exposed and ruined by Loma before his career ever begins. I am not going to lie. The kid's not ready for Lomachenko just yet.

Actually he's using his mentor's playbook, which is wait for the significant slippage in either ability, power or age,but preferably in all three, and then take the fight. Not dumb though.History is littered with guys who took the big fight too soon and became a shell of themselves afterwards.Floyd is in his ear telling him to protect the '0' no matter what.

He also said "line em up" just before that though...

And he just said he's 25. Thankfully he didn't say "I'm only 25" because that ain't really all that young and I'm pretty damn tired of hearing I'm only 25.

Thats fine but dont be tweeting that you could beat Loma RIGHT NOW if you are planning on avoiding him for a few years. To be fair he is new to the weight and Loma is regarded the best at the weight. I could understand there being no rush to get it on right now. But at the same time hes just won a belt, you want to wear the belt?, you want to have the accolades as a champion? You will then be expected to act like a champion. You are either only 25 on your own path or you are on the path of a champion. Champions shouldnt be dismissing the other champions, but thats the 1st thing Tank has done, as a champion.

This is what makes a mockery of several world titles, how can you be a “world champ “ and still not be ready to take on all comers?
It’s pathetic and only happens in our sport. I find it hard to even call it a sport anymore as it’s not really competitive like other sports, UFC runs rings round boxing in that respect.

Mayweather really ***ed this sport up. If boxing ever recovers from this it will be seen as the dark age in retrospect.
