  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis: I Definitely Ain't Sleeping On Gamboa

LAS VEGAS Yuriorkis Gamboa at least is supposed to add name recognition to Gervonta Davis' record. If everything unfolds according to Mayweather Promotions' plan Saturday night in Atlanta, the powerful southpaw will knock out Gamboa and move toward more meaningful fights in 2020. But even at 38, Davis considers Gamboa just fast, strong and experienced enough to approach the 2004 Olympic gold medalist as a legitimate threat in their lightweight title fight at State Farm Arena.

No truth to the rumor that Andy Ruiz's nutritionist has been added to Tank's team.

          Huh

Talking about not sleeping on Gomboa.
The good thing fight will only go 3 rounds cause Gomboa needs to take his medications and go to sleep early so he can wake up and get the senior citizens early bird specials.

Not when they can be explosive and hit hard, these are the fights when the underdog has nothing to lose and comes in great shape because its a golden opportunity and the champ is 3/4 baked thinking its an easy fight.

Sometimes youre supposed weakest opponent gives you a very tough fight, one guy is mentally hungry and up for it with nothing to lose, the other thinks its a walk in the park.

A lot of truth here. I don’t expect any surprises, but you never know.

I want to root for Tank but it's hard to do so after missing weight yesterday. Obviously Tank should win but I would love to see Gamboa give him some serious trouble. A knockdown would be nice

Only suckers are buying that this is a competitive fight. Maybe competitive within 6 rounds if it goes that far.
