Of all people, look who's talking shit now? A man who had first dibs at Gamboa several years ago but ducked him and subsequently went on a two year exile in order to avoid him by suing Bob Arum because he was too afraid of getting his ass whooped.
So Arum reluctantly released him from his legal binding contract and allowed his cowardly ass to walk. He calls it a shitty fight but it definitely wasn't a shitty fight when both him Gamboa were in the same weight division when Mikey ducked him just like he ducked Lomachenko.
Besides, who else was Davis supposed to fight at this new weight division? This fight is his foray into the lightweight division. I think it's a solid fight against a very cagey and experienced veteran.
If he doesn't like their fight then maybe he should do something about it. He should take his ass back down to 135 and challenge Tank Davis himself. At least those two are a lot closer in age than Gervonta and Yuriorkis Gamboa.Comment

Like I have said previously, his career has been mismanaged. This is exactly what happened to Kell Brook, he beat Porter in 2014 then proceed to do nothing or build on it. It finally caught up with him in the end. Doing idiotic stuffs outside of the ring, hopefully the same wouldn’t apply to Tank... it’s now sink or swim for him in 2020.Comment

Mikey speaking nothing but facts, but they have a plan with Gervonta and thats to make him a super start its clear hes popular amoung the youths and they want to milk that but the only issue here is Gervonta himself, he might not pan out as the goods as time goes on, we all remeber that hissy fit he had when Mayweather scared him with a lomachenko fight, and he should walk through gamboa if the only reason it becomes a hard fight or even loses is cause he did a brandon rios and killed himself to make that weight.Comment

No, he's hot garbage. He'll stink up the joint. All he does is run. Why don't Mikey go back down to 135 and fight Tank Davis then instead of talking shit about his level of opposition? However, we all know that he won't because he'll duck Davis just like he did Gamboa ten years ago and Loma more than two years ago.Comment

Well thats how it looks to most Boxing fans. Tanks is a quality talent that is being protected from looking bad so he can look good and sell more tickets and become a bigger star. Is this what they call playing Chess not Checkers? Its just a shame that the rest of us are not interested in Chess or Checkers, we are here to play BOXING. And Tank aint BOXING the best even though his mouth and his management tries to tell us otherwise.Comment
